River Trip to Thanh Ha Pottery Village : n the pottery village – actually Thanh Ha village - visitors may see and learn about the traditional way of making pottery. Located on a bank of Thu Bon river, the clay taken from the river has proven to be suitable for making pottery – a highly regarded craft in earlier times that has been continued for many generations. The way of making pottery has remained unchanged until today and many workers and artists perform this craft as a job for their daily living. On the way to pottery village, you will enjoy nice landscapes and see fishermen working when traveling on the river.

River Trip to Kim Bong Carpenter Village : Carpenting – similar to Pottery – is a traditional handicraft in Hoi An. The “carpenting village” is an area facing Hoi An from the opposite side of the river. It seems that everyone here is making carpentry products. This had been made possible as UNESCO supported the village after 1992 when the craft has nearly vanished then. Today, the village is organizing a carpenter school for young generations.

The Ancient Town : Hoi An – located between the peaceful Hoai river (a branch of the Thu Bon river) and the Dai gate (this is the shore where our Palm Garden Resort is) – has become famous as an ancient town. Today seen as a small town, it once was a big commercial port in the 17th and 18th centuries, when thousands of business guests from many different countries in Asia and Europe came to trade – influencing Hoi An’s architecture and character. Today, Hoi An town is as acknowledged as a World Cultural Heritage by the UNIESCO. Enjoy a bike or river trip to an ancient Vietnamese town on which you may make a bargain in its small shops just as a few centuries ago.

Bicycle trip to Da Nang City : In recent years, Da Nang has steadily and swiftly developed to become Vietnam’s fourth largest city. Da Nang has an essential role in economy, society and national defense – the city today has a connecting role between North and South Vietnam due to its roads, rails, sea/air routes and as the main gate to the East Sea. Although Da Nang is the economic hub for its surrounding provinces and the high lands, it has kept its clear and quiet character. In the past, Da Nang has changed its name several times: Other names sometimes mentioned are Vung Han, Dong Long, Hien Cang, Tourane. Visit Da Nang on a challenging bike trip and see how a city looks like that has opened to tourists only since 1997.

Marble Mountain & Cham Museum : About 18 kilometers north from the Resort, the Marble Mountains are located block adjacent to the seashore. In the Vietnamese legend, it is the eggshell of the Dragon God after a fairy was born from it. The Marble Mountains or Ngu Hanh Son as called by the Vietnamese are the association of five mountains which were considered as symbols of five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Soil. The marble mountains are one of the most famous destinations. After passing the Marble Mountain, you may wish to visit the Cham Museum in Da Nang, about 12 kilometers further. Here, you will find the historic facts about South Vietnam oldest religious culture – a place to remember.

Summer Traveling to Ba Na Mountains : Ba Na is a region in the southern Truong Son ranges, about 68 kilometers northwest from Hoi An. As the region is about 1.500 meters high compared to sea level it has been chosen by French people as a place for vacation. Here, in summer, the temperature 17- 20o C when it exceeds 35- 36o C in plains.Enjoy Vietnam highlands impression in Ba Na with its beautiful tall pine trees, the tuft of yellowish and purple moss, the bank of illusive clouds hanging over the mountain, bushes of straw grass and the endless bamboo forests. BaNa currently is of great ecologic importance and part of the tourist development of the people of Da Nang city.

Excursion to Hai Van Pass & Lang Co Beach : The landscape highlight in Central Vietnam! About one hour drive north of the Resort, you will reach the Hai Van Pass: 18 kilometers long also called “ The First Imposing Views’’. From the summit of the Pass, you can enjoy the magnificent landscapes of giant mountains beside the wide sea with murmuring brooks. On good days you will see the clouds from above. The Hai Van pass leads over one of two mountains, which build a natural border between North and South Vietnam – as such, it has become famous in literature, politics and economics.

Hue One of the most famous places in Vietnam : Hue is the City of Kings, where thirteen Nguyen kings had been reigning since the beginning of the 19th century. In numerous tombs, citadels and palaces, the unique architecture of the Vietnamese and ancient art is well preserved and is waiting to be discovered. The different relicts document the development from an original Eastern to a French-influenced culture.The Ngu Mountain and Huong River flowing across the city are beautiful traces of Hue. The romantic and poetic sceneries supported by the lyrical voices of young Hue ladies are possibly the reason why Hue has become famous.
