DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Monday) 
At 21:00 Pick up at your hotel and residence in Hanoi and transfer to the Hanoi train station to board night train to Lao Cai. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (Tuesday) 
The train arrives in Lao Cai station at around 05:30 am. Our local tour guide and transportation will pick up and transfer to Sapa. Check-in Victoria Sapa Hotel and you will be free at leisure for the rest of morning. Afternoon, we take a light trek to Cat Cat village to see Black H'mong hill tribes. Walking back to hotel. Overnight in Sapa

Day 3: Sapa Trekking (Wednesday) 
Morning trek to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Enjoy the breath-taking landscapes. Touring the villages and car will transfer you back to the hotel. Overnight in Sapa

Day 4: Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi (Thursday)
Check-out and have breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Lao Cai to take day train back to Hanoi (The train will leave Lao Cai at 10:20 AM)

Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Wednesday) 
At 21:00 Pick up by taxi at your hotel and residence in Hanoi and transfer to the Hanoi train station to board night train to Lao Cai. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (Thursday) 
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 05:00 am. Drive uphill to Sapa. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa is the former hill retreat for French administrators when the heat in plain became unbearable. The remoteness and simple lifestyle of ethnic minorities are a highlight of Sapa although conditions are very basic. After checking into hotel we can soak up the fresh climate as much as we want by spending time to wander around. The ethnic people are frequently seen in this hill town and small vendors along the street sell local textiles and handicraft. In the afternoon, we trek to Cat Cat village (2 km from Sapa town) where you will visit the village of Black H’mong hill tribes. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Sapa Valley. Back to hotel.

Day 3: Sapa Trekking (Friday)

SAPA INTRODUCTION
Spectacular scenery and ethnic minorities of Sapa. The northwest of Vietnam is a captivating blend of dramatic landscapes and colorful hill tribes. Sapa is set in a spectacularly beautiful valley close to the border with China. Its breathtaking mountain scenery is some of the best in Asia. Ethnic minorities from many of the surrounding villages don their most colorful costumes and head for the famous Saturday market and hiking and trekking opportunities are in abundance.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (Friday)  
At 21:00 Pick up by taxi at your hotel and residence in Hanoi and transfer to the Hanoi train station to board night train (22:00) to Lao Cai. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (Saturday) 
Arrive in the early morning at Lao Cai Station, near the Chinese border, and transfer to our private car for a scenic drive to the hill station of Sapa. Enjoy the spectacular views of rice-terraced mountains and Black H’mong and Red Dao hill tribe people dressed in their colorful wares walking along the roadside. After checking into the hotel and breakfast, begin a walking tour through the market, where hill tribe people from villages afar converge here on Saturday, and continue towards Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H'mong hill tribe. Back to the town for a late lunch at a local restaurant After lunch hang around the town to interact with the Dzao, H’mong and Dzay hill tribe people. Balance of the day is free at leisure.

Day 3: Sapa - Bac Ha Market - Hanoi (Sunday) 
Waking up early morning at 06:30. Drive to Bac Ha. This Sunday market also attracts a wide variety of ethnic minority groups including the Variegated H’mong, Dao, Phu La, La Chi, Tay who still retain their age old cultural traditions and are recognizably distinct from each other by their dress. The experience of this congregation is unique. After touring around the market, the car will take you to Ban Pho villages where inhabited of Flower H’mong people. Driver back to Lao Cai town to board Victoria Express back to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa - Bac Ha Market (Sunday)  
The train arrives in Lao Cai station at around 05:30 am. Our local tour guide and transportation will pick up and drive to Bac Ha to visit traditional market. Bac Ha market is considered  one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extreme north Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attires busily buy and sell the local produces. Dog, cat, pig, horse... are all on sales. This is golden opportunity to take best shots! Afternoon we will have a pleasant walk  to Ban Pho village, home to flower H'mong people. Opportunity to interact with friendly local people and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Transfer back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa

Day 3: Sapa Trekking (Monday)
